As the marine air mist rolls in from the ocean, these giant spruce trees catch the water molecules from the air with their needles, where larger droplets are formed, and then these droplets fall to the forest floor beneath. As Oregon's forests are plagued with increasing drought and fires, we must preserve these coastal stands allowing them to keep the grounds saturated.
