Julianne considers herself a perpetual child at heart and is never quite satisfied with adult explanations for how lollipops grow on trees. She’s been on a personal rewilding journey since the moment she discovered at a young age that blowing her nose on leaves was much more efficient than chasing down toilet paper and a trash can. She followed the sweet call of Oregon’s rich forests and rivers shortly after religious service in Germany and graduating from BYU in microbiology and music studies.  Her Mormon and techie Cupertino skins were shed and composted in the arid soil of her high desert hobby farm in Bend. Through five seasons she grew a community of mothers and children at her cooperative yoga studio and farm preschool, gave birth to a bright-eyed little girl, planted a lot of seeds and potatoes, and fed herself and her small family from the earth. Divorce came like a harsh high desert wind and cast her seeded prayers back to the coast where she is currently involved in building a more sustainable future of food and water systems for her child and future generations. Julianne was introduced to Sam by Liza in the spring of 2022 and the germination of the Cloud cooperative came to be, just as magically as seeds sprouting forth from a deep slumber. She feels blessed to be in collaboration with a collective of beautiful humans who share a vision for soul and soil regeneration, and looks forward to spending many summers and later years sleeping upon her land in the the dreamy place called the cloud.
