Sam Schwarz

FOUNDER

Sam is an artist, builder and native Oregonian, born at home in one of the most beautiful temperate rain forests on the planet, eating fresh fish from the river, produce from the garden, climbing trees and spending every possible moment outside in the elements.

Sam has traveled to many places in the world, becoming efficient in both the Spanish and Danish languages. Having worked extensively acquiring critical skill sets beyond survival, Sam has dedicated his life to living as close to the natural world as possible and inspiring others to do the same.

About three years ago Sam began homesteading on a portion of land that has now become the Cloud. The  opportunity to preserve this sacred land arose and since we have thus far successfully halted the clear-cutting of the priceless ecological region that surrounds me. With your involvement, together we can preserve this land by buying it and living close to it, with respect to the land and the indigenous peoples who once thrived here. Welcome to the Cloud and welcome to a connected way of living, close with nature.

Robbie McNulty

Hi I’m Robbie McNulty, I grew up in Chico California raised by two professional biologists that spurred me to open my heart and eyes to the world. Observations, hands on experiences and international travel from a young age have fueled my passions for outdoor exploration, building, science and teaching. I graduated from the university of Oregon With honors in Biology and with emphasis in marine biology, ecology and evolution. I have helped teach classes in various aspects of biology and ecology. After graduating the of university of Oregon’s marine institute in Charelston I have since been involved in commercial fishing as a way to diversify my understanding of marine resource management. Studying ecosystems from the Caribbean to the South Pacific and on both coasts east and west I have discovered a passion for helping all of us understand our environment so we  can better protect it for future generations. Community based management of our resources is one of the most effective ways I believe, and this is why I’m dedicated to bringing love for the environment and stewardship to my community through educational outreach, classes, guided fishing, foraging, and hiking tours throughout the area.

Mady Eyre

Outdoor enthusiast, yoga instructor, traveler, and artist born and raised in Utah. I have a passion for nature and connection. In the winters I spend most of my time snowboarding in the mountains where I find much beauty and peace in the stillness of the forest and connection through movement. Grateful for my travels that have taught me more about other cultures and how we are all connected. At 17 I had the opportunity to travel across the world to jibhi, India where I got to meet and the locals of a small village in the himalayas. This experience gave me a greater understanding for the human connection that goes past the barrier of language. The past few years I have been on an exploration journey of self, community, and connection with earths elements. I want to help people go back to there roots as thy symbiotically live with them. The one thing that always brings me back to peace is nature and that is why I want to do what I can to help people get back to it. Through my travels I am grateful for the eye opening experiences that have had such a great impact on my life. I stumbled upon these three men by accident and have been very grateful for the change and impact we have been able to make. Excited to continue the journey of change and connection that I know we are all passionate about.
